WHAT WE DO
Below are just some of the things we do for kids with cancer with your generous donations. With every adventure, a big focus is connection between kids/families going through treatment because the cancer process is so isolating. So you're not only funding adventures, you're making invaluable lifelong bonds and a community possible for these kids and families. Thank you for the priceless memories! These smiles are all your fault :P
OUR SICK STORY (the origin)
It all stared with a cancer diagnoses, some sharpies, and tshirts... now we've expanded to a charity too!
MEET THE BOARD MEMBERS
(Stay Happy is 100% volunteer run and always has been. That includes our volunteer board :)
KRISTINE TESAURO[ FOUNDER / PRESIDENT ]
Kristine was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2015. She fell in love with the kids she was treated with and wanted to do something to help. It started with the clothing brand "Catch Some Air" that her and her sister started, and has grown into STAY HAPPY as well. |
ANNA STARK[ MYSTICAL MOMCOLOGIST ]
Anna has three amazing boys, one of which recently finished a 3+ year battle with cancer. She was always finding ways not only to get him through treatment . . . but to make things FUN. They call him Super Fritz! And his super mom has been supporting other families since. |
KELLY FAGAN[ SWEET SECRETARY ]
If her official title didn't need the word "secretary" in it . . . she would be "Crazy Aunt Kelly." She's the crazy fun aunt everyone loves, is always good for a meal, laughs, hugs, letting out those tears, and laundry. Plus, she has worked in supportive oncology and major cancer nonprofits for years. |
ROB BUSHER[ DONKEY DIRECTOR ]
We didn't really know what title to give Rob...but that cancer crusher he's carrying calls him Donkey. Heh ;) Rob is the best though! He has worked in the cancer world for over a decade and has been essential in helping to run the Stay Happy FUNdation. He puts the fun in FUNdation (literally...he came up with that) |
BRIANNA TESAURO[ TRUSTY TREASURER ]
When her sister Kristine was diagnosed with cancer, Brianna dropped everything to help her though it and make it the happiest it could be. Helping her led to the start of Catch Some Air, which helped kids with cancer, and now to STAY HAPPY too. Helping kids smile again, made her happiest in life and became her life mission. |
SURVIVOR STARTEDAt the heart of this nonprofit, are two sisters: Kristine who beat childhood cancer, & Brianna who was her caregiver. They also lost a brother to cancer, so they know the crappiest and happiest of outcomes . . . and what helps!
|
100% VOLUNTEER RUNWe're an ALL volunteer run nonprofit. No one takes home a paycheck . . . smiles are our favorite payment! So your donations go far in accomplishing our #1 goal: making kids happy!
